About

Thank you all for visiting my blog. I am using this to share my opinions on a number of different topics.

My name is Lee Collins and I am a third year Journalism student studying in London at the University of Westminster and enjoying every second. I'm a country boy, having been born and bred in Cornwall, south-west England. Moving to London was a big decision for me but one I rarely regret. Life in the country and the city could not be more different and I feel as if I live two completely separate lives.

In Cornwall, I live in a small village called Perranuthnoe. It has it’s own beach and pub and is idyllic. Some may think I am being biased but it really is. There is no greater place on earth in my opinion. At home I live with my mum, dad and sister who I miss very much when I am up in London. I have a huge family and lots of amazing friends back home and when I do go home there is nothing better than relaxing on the beach or in the pub with my mates. Driving is also a big thing in my life, there is nothing better than turning up the music and going for a long Sunday afternoon drive around the coast!
Back up to London now and what a difference. I am pleased to say that up here I also have amazing friends who I am sure I will stay in contact with for a very long time. City life is certainly a buzz and I love it! The thing about living in London is that there is so much going on, I could never get bored, no matter how many times I go to the same places, there are always other places waiting to be explored. I would like to think that no matter how much I love Cornwall, I could work in London when I graduate.
As a budding journalist, I am of course interested in the news and the media, but my interests also extend to TV, music and of course social networking and blogging. My friends are aware of my television addiction (and they want to find a cure) and I am often found spending time on either Facebook or Twitter.

In this blog I am hoping to convey the emotions I am going through during my final year at university and opinions on some of the day-to-day news stories that interest me.

Even if you do not necessarily agree with what I say please comment. Both positive and negative feedback are very welcome.

Happy reading!
